When Are You Open? (2026 Season)
Wednesday, October 28th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Thursday, October 29th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Friday, October the 30th from 6:00pm to 9:30pm. Friday the 30th will be a black out event. You will be sent in with nothing more than a candle to light your way, but be careful the patients like to take them!
Saturday, October 31st from 6:00pm to 9:30pm.

Come back in December for “The Krampus Encounter”, St. Nicolas isn’t coming this year! Instead, a much darker ancient spirit. He and his helpers did not come to give, but to take.

How Much Does It Cost?
We’re part of Haunts Against Hunger, we’re collecting nonperishable food items for those in need this holiday season.
Haunted House Admission: Two nonperishable food items or a $5 donation per person.** Max group size 6, recommended 4. ** Food item/donation appreciated but not required for normal haunted house entry (Desoto Asylum Escape and VIP not included).
Haunted House & Escape Room Admission: Desoto Asylum Escape! A 7-minute extended haunted house experience where you will be directed into an unexplored part of the asylum. It’s a race again time to find your way out before time runs out. APPOINTMENT REQUIRED! Limited only to guests that have donated 4 nonperishable food items or $10 per person and have an appointment. Max group size 4, recommended 3. If you make an appointment but don’t have your donations when you arrive you will not be able to do the escape room!
VIP Haunted House & Escape Room Admission: The Haunted House & Escape Room experience, but adds a behind the scenes view while we are open (after you’ve gone through once). A skip the line on a second time though the haunted house, and if you return after we close a lights on tour and pictures with some actors. APPOINTMENT REQUIRED! Limited only to guests that have donated 10 nonperishable food items or $25 per person and have an appointment. Max group size 4, recommended 3. If you make an appointment but don’t have your donations when you arrive you will not be able to do the escape room or use the other VIP options.
How Do I Make An Appointment?
Appointments are made by messaging our Facebook page between mid September and 2 days before the time slot you want.
Is It The Same As Last Year’s Haunted House?
NO, we change the layout and rooms every year to create a new experience, although it is always asylum themed.
2026 We’ve added a viral outbreak variation to the usually asylum theme.
Can I Go Through More Than Once?
Yes, but you must wait in line again, but DO NOT tell other guests where the monsters are hiding.
Will I Be Touched While Inside Desoto Asylum?
No, the monsters have been told not to touch or chew on the guests.
Can I Touch The Monsters?
No, touching the monster or the props will get you removed from the haunt.
Can I Take Pictures/Videos While Inside Desoto Asylum?
NO Pictures/Videos while inside. We encourage all pictures/videos to be taken in front of Desoto Asylum or while in line but don’t forget to share them with your friends.
Can I wear a costume?
Yes, If you are wearing a costume mask you will be asked to remove it before entering the haunted house for safety.
